A family house in the small historical city of Huy close to all facilities
Welcome to our house located in a residential area in a small city surrounded by nature (forest is 5 minutes away). We've spent time refurbishing it, preserving its early 1900s style but allowing it to offer all the confort of a modern house. We hope you'll enjoy its atmosphere. We also have a large garden with 3 hens that will give you fresh eggs everyday.
Our house, is suitable for a family with 2 to 4 children. On the ground floor you'll find the living room and kitchen (fully-equipped). On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms (1 double bed, 1 bunk bed with & pull-out bed), 1 office if you need to work, 1 toilet, 1 bathroom and a dressing. The second floor consists in two other bedrooms, each with 1 single bed (with one pull-out bed) and a second bathroom (shower and a toilet). The laundry (with washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer) are located in the cellar. The garden is accessible from the kitchen. This is a 400 m2 secured garden (it is surrounded by walls). We have a barbecue, a vegetable garden (where we grow zucchini, peas, lettuce, etc.), fruit trees and all amenities to enjoy outside meals. Children will of course get a chance to discover a lot of toys. We have a hen house with 3 chickens.
Huy railway station is only 15’ walking distance from our house. There is plenty of free and gratis parking space in front of our house. There is also a big Intermarché supermarket on the other side of the street open 7 days a week.
Huy is one of the oldest cities in Belgium along the river Meuse between Namur (capital of Wallonia) and Liège (another historical and lively city). The region of Huy is picturesque with a lot of forests, fields with farms and castles. There are many trails for walking or riding bicycles.
We love our house and we will take care of your house like ours.
We're looking forward to discovering new places. Do not hesitate to contact us!

Our Neighbourhood
Huy is a small picturesque city with many old civil and religious buildings (some dating from the Middle Age): a gothic Collegial with a roman crypt, a citadel, and many old houses. The “Grand-Place” (where you can see the beautiful City Hall) and the surrounding streets form a pedestrian zone with shops, bars and restaurants (from the simplest to more gastronomic ones). Huy also offers a cinema, a bowling, an animal park, a cultural center with a theater, 2 swimming-pools (one is adapted to young children), cruises on the river, and many supermarkets outside the city center. The weekly outdoor market (every Wednesday) is the occasion to taste delicious products.
The city of Huy is in the heart of an authentic region (the “Condroz”) with beautiful landscapes made up of forests, fields, rivers, greystone villages, and castles. We will recommend you farms to buy local produce. You can visit this region by riding, jogging, biking, horsing or simply by driving with your car from one village to the other! We will provide you with maps and our 2 bikes (and our bike rack).
Huy is also the perfect spot to explore Belgium and the border regions. The Belgian Ardennes and the beautiful city of Durbuy are only 30 minutes by car from our home. Liège and Namur are 30 minutes, Brussels is 1 hour by car from Huy. You can reach North of France (Givet) by following the river Meuse and visiting lovely cities such as Dinant on the way. Liège, which had been the capital for a famous rich Principality for one thousand years, is a cultural city with old buildings, many roman and gothic churches, outstanding museums (e.g.the fine arts museum has a partnership with the Louvre in Paris), theaters, an opera house, and concert halls. It is also a lively city (with its renowned university and colleges, and famous « Square », where students meet), where you can find all kinds of shops you’re looking for and many bars and restaurants. If you want to feel the atmosphere of the Netherlands, we would recommend you to visit Maastricht, the first city in the Netherlands straight after the border. Beautiful Flemish cities (Ghent, Bruges (2 hours by car)), but also Luxembourg and the German city of Aachen are easily accessible from our house. If you don’t want to drive, Huy has a good railway station linking it directly to Namur, Liège and Brussels, with further connections to many other places in Belgium with its dense railway network.
