Lovely and spacious house in Bordeaux

Our house is an old house built in the late 19th century. On the ground floor (130 square meters): isolated entrance hall, living room, dining room, second lounge and big kitchen opening on a small but green and sunny garden (South West side), parents’ bedroom and toilet. On the first floor (130 sm) : four bedrooms (2 beds 140x190 + 2 beds 140x200), four bathrooms, toilet, a playroom and the laundry. On the second floor are our office and the attic (which might be closed during your visit).  We like our house for its light, space and "charm". In the basement : a big cellar.
Our house has very good thermal and acoustic insulation.

We enjoy our garden (150 sqm) where you can find a barbecue, a ping pong table and of course a set of garden furniture. We eat easily outside. We have four children, so you can find lots of toys (lego, playmobil, kapla, table games, a baby foot, paper and colour pens, PS4, ...) and lots of books.
We also have bicycles that we very often use.

Our house is very close to various shops and services (bakery, cheese maker, post office, ...). There is a local market each saturday morning. The tram is 5 min walk from our house and you will reach the towncenter directly (theater, museums, quaysides and banks of Garonne, shops, ...) in 10 to 15 min (4 to 7 stations) / a bit more by walking (20 to 30 min) . You can also use the bus just next to our house (15 min to go to the central station).

We live in Bordeaux, a 18th city classified in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bordeaux is an historic city with many tourist attractions. You will appreciate "cafés", gardens, and museums springing up all the time. There are lots of interesting attractions in the town center. The quaysides with their impressive 18th facades and the emblematic "Place de la Bourse" are very nice for walking, riding a bike, rollerblade, skate, and even refreshing in the "Miroir d'eau" for young children.

You can go to the bay of Arcachon in about 45 min by car (1 hour by train) : many sandy beaches and famous sites like "Dune du Pyla", Arcachon, Cap Ferret ... or prefer visiting castles and wine cellars. You'll be raising your glass many times in Bordeaux, which is renowned for its wines, considered amongst the best in the world (Haut Brion, Lafite Rotschild, ... Saint Emilion and its old cosy village).
You can discover Perigord, registered in the world patrimony of the Unesco for the riches of its prehistorical caves (the famous cave of Lascaux with paleolithic drawings, ..) and the Dordogne with its old authentical villages (Rocamadour, Sarlat, . ), its castles and rivers. The "Pays Basque" in the South could be another purpose of your trip too (the seaside resort, Biarritz, with powerful waves which attract the world's top surfers or Saint Jean de Luz / 2 hours).

We live in a residential area close to all amenities (shops, tramway, bus, ...). Public swimming pools or tennis courts are less 10 min from our house.

There are lots of bike paths in Bordeaux and around the city. For instance, the bike lane "Lacanau - Bordeaux - Sauveterre de Guyenne" is a good and nice way to discover Bordeaux and its area.
