We live in the town of Athenry which is about half an hour from the bustiling costal city of Galway on the Atlantic Ocean. Our house is walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs with live Irish music, hotels and the train station. But it is a very quiet and nice neighbourhood, you will hear no noise from our house; we are the last house in a cul-de-sac of just eight detached houses. Our house is detached and was only built in 2019 so it is "A" rated for energy efficency. It is a very comfortable house with nice couches, a large banquet seating area and comfortable beds with quality pillows and bed linen. We have underfloor heating, three power showers and constant hot water and heat. It is tastefullly designed and has a lovely front and back garden where you can sit on the patio and enjoy dinner and a glass of wine whilst looking at the many flowers and trees in the garden. We are a 10 minute walk from the train station where there are numberous daily trains to Galway city (20 minutes by train). The last train goes from Galway to Athenry at 10.30 p.m. and at the weekends there is a night bus which runs until 2 a.m. So, if you want to go for a meal in Galway city that option is also open to you. You can take numerous daily trains to Dublin, Athlone and Limerick from Athenry. Athenry is a very peaceful and green town but has everything you need within walking distance from our home.
Two bicycles are available and we also have a piano keyboard which you can use.
