Holiday home in Wrocław, Poland
We are a four-person family. My wife and I are engineers. I work in my own company. We have got two daughters Małgorzata and Monika. They are 23 and 22 years old and they are studying at the Wrocław University of Technology. We always travel together. We love visiting and exploring new places.
We live in Wrocław. (http://www.wroclaw.pl/) It is a big city (about 700 000 people), one of the biggest in Poland. In Wrocław is our a main house. We live in a very nice and quiet area near a park. It is situated next to a public swimming pool, a supermarket Społem, tennis courts and about 3 minutes to a tram stop which will take you every 5 minutes directly to the city centre, and takes about 15 minutes.
Our house is very comfortable and quite big. We have half of a house. We have 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms and a big kitchen. There is air conditioning, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a microwave and an oven. There is also access to the internet. We have a terrace and a big garden where you can spend time, relax and do a barbecue. In your free time you can also play table tennis.
In Wrocław there are a lot of monuments. There is a new multimedia fountain, one of the best in Europe.
(http://www.wroclawskafontanna.pl/#/STRONA%20G%C5%81%C3%93WNA) From our home it takes about 15 minutes by foot across the park to go there. Near the fountain there is Hala Stulecia (Centennial Hall) (http://www.halaludowa.wroc.pl/) In 2006, the hall was added to UNESCO's prestigious list of World Heritage Sites as one of the most important achievements in 20th Century architecture. Another interesting place to visit is the Panorama Racławicka (Panorama of the Battle of Racławice) (http://www.panoramaraclawicka.pl/). In Wrocław there is a beautiful Old Town and the Market Square. There are a lot of restaurants and bars. If you are interested in old buildings and architecture the main Market Square has many historical buildings boasting an array of styles. Also you have Ostrów Tumski (Cathedral Island) located near the centre where you can find a magnificent Cathedral as well as a beautiful area to have a walk by the river or sit on a bench and admire the view.
During the summer there are boat tours that can be taken so you can admire the city from a different perspective.
Wrocław is the European Capital of Culture in 2016. Our city is one of four cities in Poland where the UEFA Euro 2012 will take place (http://www.e2012.eu/en/).
We have a cottage in a very small village, Miastko, near some lakes and a forest. It is 130km from Wrocław. There are 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a terrace and a balcony. There is a big garden where children can play. There is also a fire place. It is a very quiet and pleasant area. I think it is a wonderful place to relax. It takes 5 minutes by foot to go to a lake and about 10 minutes by car to go to a beach by the lake. We have 2 canoes and 3 bicycles there. If you want you can go to the tennis courts (about 10km). You may rent a sailing boat, windsurfing boards, canoes and water bicycles in Olejnica (about 6km). You can also ride horses in Miastko (about 1km). If you like exploring in Wolsztyn (about 25km) there is the Steam Trains Museum (http://www.parowozowniawolsztyn.pl/). In Górsko (about 4km) there is the Birds’ Gallery (http://www.zagroda.note.pl/). Both of them are worth seeing.
We also offer a flat in a heath resort in Polanica Zdrój (http://www.polanica.pl). It is small town in the mountains about 100 km from Wrocław. There is a bedroom and living room, bathroom, kitchen and a small balcony. The flat is for four people, because in the living room there is a sofa bed.
We always travel by car, so we don’t need to use your car, but if you fly to us, we can lend you another car. In Wrocław there is an airport.
Wrocław has good localization if you like traveling and exploring. You can visit Berlin, Praha, Kraków.
