Historic house in heart of Sonoma wine country
Non-simultaneous exchanges welcome.
We have a historic house (built in 1884) in the center of Healdsburg -- one block from the main plaza and walkable to wine tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops in the city. The house underwent a 3-year restoration in 2024 that added many modern amenities while restoring the historic character of a wine country home. Off-street parking and electric vehicle charging is available, and there are 2 bicycles available to guests. Heartwood House is approximately 2,000 sq ft, and Heartwood Guest House is approximately 500 sq ft. Take either space or combine both if available.
Heartwood House: This space includes 3 bedrooms (2 queen size beds and 1 king size bed), 3 bathrooms, dining room, parlour, living room, kitchen, laundry, and front garden. This is our full-time home.
Heartwood Guest House: Located in the rear portion of the house with private patio entrance, it includes 1 bedroom (1 king size bed), 1 bathroom, combined living/kitchen area, and laundry. The Guest House is set up as a furnished rental and is usually occupied with 30+ night stays. It can comfortably sleep 2 people.

We enjoy experiencing places from a local's perspective, veering off the normal tourist path. We enjoy outdoor activities and cultural experiences. We are a vegetarian/vegan household. We have an appreciation for design.
We have traveled extensively but put it on hold while moving to California. Since purchasing this home we visit twice monthly to spend time out of the city.
Some of our ideal countries to visit in the near-future include:
- Denmark
- Sweden
- Greece
- Turkey
- Portugal
Some places we have visited in the past but would gladly return include:

- February
- Early Summer
- Early Autumn
We are also open to shorter weekend getaways accessible from California.
